With over 10 years of experience in textile facades and over 7 years in LED media and multimedia facades, iDEA & Associates is a pioneering consultancy specialized in the design, engineering and development of LED SCREEN projects.

Having designed systems and integrated technology for some of the most iconic buildings in the world like Burj Khalifa and ADNOC we pride ourselves in our ability to integrate solutions that respect the existing buildings infrastructure, ensuring that compliance standards are met and without compromising what the client wants to achieve.

Our team’s extensive knowledge in LED technology and facade systems allows us to design and integrate a varied level of technology onto buildings, even when there are challenging limitations like LEED Environmental certifications to be considered. By working closely with our partners throughout the stages of R&D, we propose applied technologies that are the right solutions for the client both design wise and within budget parameters.

Our experience with the extreme Middle Eastern weather conditions, allow us to scrutinize the technology and guide our clients to the best solution for their buildings. If not satisfied we will work with the technology manufacturer to implement their products, or develop new ones in order to meet the client’s requirements. In just few years we have innovated the multi-media facade industry introducing new standards such as “invisible”, perfectly integrated, aluminum systems and the Redundancy concept for large screens.

Selected Projects

Media facades can evoke the most diverse emotions, from a big city feeling to the personification of a building. They can be used as tourist attractions, Pop Art and advertising spaces.

Media facades usually plays with colors, low resolution contents, pixelated images and lighting effect in order to enhance the building.

Multi-media facades are used as city attractions to share moments with the citizens. They are used as central pieces for events, advertisement, sport and institutional ceremonies. They can be used as tourist attractions and for governmental messages.

Multi-media facades usually play fast contents, medium resolution images and videos. A multi-media facades is the right way to impress people and let them remember the building.

Technology is key to achieving outstanding results on a media facade. We work with our selected partners who have a proven track record of delivering high-quality products with long-lasting technology in order to ensure that the screens are fit for use all year round.

Thanks to our experience across various projects, we have developed and integrated technology and building materials which complement one another. We have tested endless configurations between LED lights (bars and spots), neon, projections and materials such as aluminium, textiles (pvc, etfe, ptfe, fiberglass-silicone) and glass.

Our specialist team knows how to integrate the best technology, without functional and aesthetic compromises of the building.

The term resolution is often considered equivalent to pixel count in digital imaging, though international standards in the digital camera field specify it should instead be called “Number of Total Pixels” in relation to image sensors, and as “Number of Recorded Pixels” for what is fully captured.

The virtual resolution, related to the concept of spatial resolution, is the virtual incrementation of the pixel density due the distance to the screen. In media facade this allows to use lower pixel resolution to have virtual high-resolution screen from a set distance.

The Key element for a successful media facade is the content. The understanding of the limitations of the screen is the first step to create outstanding videos that people will remember and stay in their minds.

iDEA&Associates has closed partnerships with creative agencies around the world. We are able to provide custom contents that enhance the characteristics of your screen.
