NECKLACE DYNAMIC LIGHTING UPGRADE

In 2021, iDEA&Associates was engaged to produce the design, engineering, and solution for the inaugural multimedia façade at Kingdom Center—marking the beginning of an ambitious transformation for the tower’s visual identity.

Building on the success of that project, iDEA&Associates was appointed in 2022 for the design and fabrication of the system integration for the new Dynamic Lighting package for the tower’s iconic necklace.

iDEA&Associates continue to serve KINGDOM HOLDING as Multi-Media Facade consultant on Kingdom Center and on other assets of the portfolio.

for this project we had to fabricate and perfectly incline on the building more than 240 custom-manufactured lighting fixtures with a angle precision of less than 1 degree at 80 meter distance.

TECHNOLOGY

INTEGRATION

The team designed, engineered, and produced customized technology a precise protocol to ensure seamless communication between the multimedia façade and the lighting system in the necklace.

The same approach has been used to integrate the custom made lighting on the building. It required meticulous planning and engineering, particularly due to the extreme angles of installation in the tower’s upper section—a even more distinctive architectural feature of Kingdom Center.
